Sam has been playing volleyball for 10 years and rejoins Top Gun in her first season as a coach. After playing for Hartland, she continued on to play collegiate volleyball for four years as an Outside Hitter at Lourdes University. Throughout these four years, Lourdes made the NAIA National Tournament three times and won two WHAC conference tournaments. As a Junior, she received the Champions of Character award for showing the five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership. Her coaching philosophy is to play hard and never give up. Even if you make a mistake, you can learn from it and continue to improve.

 

The person who’s influenced Sam the most is her former Top Gun coach, Jayne Williams (currently our 18 Elite coach!). Jayne pushed her to her greatest potential and gave her confidence to continue playing volleyball. Sam graduated this past December with a BA degree in Early Childhood Education.
