CAMP DESCRIPTIONS:

 IndividualI Skills Camp: 5th – 8th grade – July 8 – 11.

A great camp for anyone wanting an introduction to or continued experience with all fundamental individual volleyball skills. Technique exploration, instruction and repetition of skills will be delivered in a positive, supportive and fun environment! Appropriate and challenging for all skill levels. Skill progression adapted to the individual athlete. Passing, serving, setting, attacking, digging and blocking will be taught. Great for all athletes who’ve played less than four years! Highly recommended for everyone playing or considering middle school volleyball.

Advanced Skills Camp: 7th/8th grade and 9th-12th grade sessions – July 23 – 25.

Prior club ball participation is highly recommended. Advanced Skills Camp works with the next steps in the development of young athletes with more intricate and specialized training in all skills. Drills will be intensive and knowledge of basic skills and technique is expected. Not recommended for athletes who have not previously played school and/or club volleyball. Focus will be on repetition of higher level skills,  elevating knowledge of the sport and combination drills/games. Specific position work will also occur when appropriate.

Last Chance Camp – 7th – 8th grade – August 5 – 8.

If your athlete is hoping to play middle school volleyball, this is the camp for her! Last Chance Camp is the final opportunity for middle school athletes to prepare for their upcoming school tryouts. Individual skill instruction and repetition, as well as team situations and scrimmages will be covered in an instructional, fun and empowering camp. Recommended for any and all athletes trying out for middle school volleyball!

Young Stars Youth Camp –  4th – 6th grade – August 5 – 8.

Top Gun loves getting athletes started with this wonderful sport, especially at a young age. Focus will be on introduction of the individual skills, fun of the game, being an athlete and all the challenges the sport provides! Primarily run as an individual camp, new athletes as well as young athletes who have played previously, will find this camp beneficial and worthwhile. There will  be multi-contact competitions and games thrown in throughout the week to encourage and develop game understanding. Camp will run with a minimum of ten campers.

High School Tune Up Camp: 9th – 12th grade – August 6 – 8.

Previously separate one-day camps, the High School Tune Up Camp is now a  three-day afternoon camp to enable building upon the sessions. Plenty of technique work, repetition, and combination drills along with play, competition, challenges and fun! Focus will be mainly on movement, ball handling and individual skills the first part of each day and then finish up with group drills, competitions and game-like situations. The perfect camp to use as a final preparation for upcoming high school tryouts.
