Tryouts for the Top Gun VBC 2025 Winter teams will be as follows:
13U Tryouts will be held Thursday, November 7 AND Friday, November 8*, 2024 from 6:00–7:45pm
14U Tryouts will be held Thursday, November 7 AND Friday, November 8*, 2024 from 8:00–9:45pm Registration / Check-in begins ½ hour prior to tryout start time.
November 8th tryout will be held at the Brighton High School Field House, 7878 Brighton Rd
15U Tryouts will be held Thursday, November 14 AND Friday, November 15, 2024 from 6:00–7:45pm
16/17//18U Tryouts will be Thursday, November 14 AND Friday, November 15, 2024 from 8:00–9:45pm
Registration / Check-in will begin ½ hour prior to tryout start time.
Tryouts on November 7, 14 and 15 will be held at Scranton Middle School, 8415 Maltby Rd., Brighton, MI 48116.
Tryouts on November 8 will be held at the Brighton High School Field House, 7878 Brighton Rd. Brighton, MI 48116.
Proof of current 2025 AAU membership is necessary for tryout. Go to www.aauvolleyball.org. Click “Join AAU” or log in. Be sure to include the NEW Top Gun VBC Club Code for 2025 of DY636X. (The club code can be changed if you choose not to play with Top Gun VBC.) Complete instructions are listed below.
What to bring to Tryouts: Bring completed registration form and $40.00 (cash or check made payable to Top Gun VBC).

What age should my daughter tryout for? Can I just use her age?
Top Gun VBC and the AAU organization follow the USA Volleyball guidelines for age eligibility. This is based on the age of the athlete on July 1, 2025. Grade is a secondary determinant as we look to keep athletes within their “peer group” much of the time. Please attend the tryout according to the following age definitions UNLESS they are in the higher grade for their age. For example, fall under the 14U category, but are in 9th grade.
There will be no tryout for 12U athletes. Registration forms will be available for the 12U program (athletes born on or after July 1, 2012) here starting November 1, 2024.
AGE DEFINITIONS:
12 and under (12U): Born on or after July 1, 2012.
13 and under (13U): Born on or after July 1, 2011.
14 and under (14U): Born on or after July 1, 2010.
15 and under (15U): Born on or after July 1, 2009.
16 and under (16U): Born on or after July 1, 2008.
17 and under (17U): Born on or after July 1, 2007.
18 and under (18U): Born on or after July 1, 2006.
What to bring to Tryouts: Bring completed registration form and $40.00 (cash or check made payable to Top Gun VBC). Valid AAU membership is required.
